High winds sweep across Miami Valley

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 NEWS caught up with several shoppers at the Greene in Beavercreek Sunday to talk about the windy conditions.

"It has been very windy and cold out here but it doesn't keep us inside," said Alecia McDowell of Centerville.  "We need to get outside since its not snowing."

Shoppers claimed the stores blocked the wind for the most part; however, say the winds were very strong during the drive to the shopping center.

"It is about a 30 minute drive to the Greene from Vandalia," said Zach Bookout.  "I could feel the wind moving the vehicle around a little bit because we were riding in a large truck."

Several counties throughout the Miami Valley remained under a wind advisory until 6 p.m. Sunday.
