XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) - A group of Xenia residents called for the resignation of its school superintendent Tuesday.

About 300 parents and citizens make up The Voices for Xenia Community Schools.

They blame Superintendent Deb Piotrowski for failing to communicate with the community and don't like her decisions in the recent budget crisis.

The group is holding a petition signing Thursday demanding her removal or resignation.

"I'm hoping that they don't ignore this community and say we just aren't doing anything. This community is extremely fed up. The voters have looked at it and said if we have to, we will vote every board member out," said Matt Thomas, Voices of Xenia Community Schools.

You can sign the petition Thursday at the FOP on Dayton Avenue from 6:00 until 8:00pm.

We tried to contact Superintendent Piotrowski. but were told she is out of town until March 2nd.
