DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A local project that will help military families from out of town has finally been paid for through new donations.

Construction of the new Fisher House 2 is in it's final stages at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

On Wednesday, the Fisher House organization received a $10,000 donation from the local Air Force Association.

Fisher House 2, the military's version of the Ronald McDonald house, is provided by the national Fisher House organization that builds homes all over the country.

The total cost of the project is around $3 million and will begin providing housing for more than 650 out-of-town families in January.
