DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The calendar may say it's winter but lately it's been feeling more like spring. Earlier today at Cox Arboretum many people were out walking and jogging without the winter weather gear. Everyone was taking advantage of the weather no matter what their age.
The whipping wind is making waves on the pond at Cox Aboretum. Sterling Gearheart is enjoying the sites while waiting for his family.
Sterling Gearheart says "They're still walking but you wanted to sit and relax no I wanted to talk to you."
We had a great conversation too - He says he doesn't get out much in the winter but likes to play golf in the summer. But even with today's temperatures he's staying off the course.
"It's winter time I don't go out and do those things my wife does she's nuts enough to do that," Gearheart replied.
Five year old Kristen Barnett is monkeying around at Wilson park.
Kristen Barnett says, "Well it's nice weather out today so we are at the park."
Fun is the word of the day. She's riding her new colorful bike - and trying out all the new tricks. She had to switch to a spring activity instead of a winter one.
"Well it never was snowy enough to go outside" Barnett said.
She's making the best of the weather and enjoying it while it lasts. Because it's still winter and spring is still 7 weeks away.
The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
