SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - Emergency crews have confirmed it was two dogs and that fell through the ice of a Clark County pond Tuesday morning.
Crews from Bethel Township and surrounding departments were called to George Rogers State Park along SR 4 just before noon.
What they found was a dog standing near a hole in the ice covering the park's pond.
Not knowing what, if anything had crashed through the ice, divers made an attempt to reach the hole.
While moving across the ice, one diver fell through.
He was pulled from the water unharmed.
Crews were eventually able to reach the site and found two dogs in the water.
The remaining dog was safely rescued.
