SPRINGBORO (WDTN) - New information about an alarming email sent to some Springboro parents.

It warns them of a person driving around Settlers Walk, looking for children but it turned out to be a hoax.

Friday night police discovered the source of that email. The persom admitted the information was not fact-checked but was sent with good intentions.

Still, police want parents to be ready if children are targeted.

They have two meetings scheduled for March 23rd at Heatherwoode Golf Course. Officials will explain how they handle child endangering, and answer any questions.
