DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Deputies have arrested five suspects in a home invasion that resulted in the lockdown of an elementary school Wednesday morning.

The suspects first broke into a home on Berchman Drive in Huber Heights. A 12-year-old, at home sick from school, was inside. Investigators said the men threatened the boy before before he was able to call 911. The suspects escaped before police arrived.

The suspects were later spotted on Mapleleaf Drive in Harrison Township. That's when authorities ordered the lockdown of Meadowdale Elementary School.

Eventually all five suspects were found and arrested in that same Harrison Township neighborhood.

The 12-year-old Huber Heights boy was not injured.

Police have not released the names of the suspects.
