DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Two men are behind bars tonight after a chase involving state troopers and Dayton police officers.

2News cameras were the only ones on scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the two men in the pickup truck drove off when a trooper tried to make a traffic stop.

The truck drove through a fence and almost hit a Dayton police cruiser before hitting a curb that blew the front tire out.

The pair then started to run, officers tased the passenger and a Dayton K9 helped catch the driver.

"We never like getting involved in these type of situations," said Ohio State Highway Patrol Sergeant Joseph Gebhart. "Obviously they're hazardous for the officers, they're hazardous for the public and they're hazardous for the individuals involved."

Law enforcement found crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia inside the truck.

The two are now facing several charges involving the possession of those drugs and fleeing from law enforcement.
