DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton police are investigating the death of a 9-month old boy.

Officers and emergency crews were called to a house in the 13 hundred block of Alwildy Avenue just before 10 a.m. Sunday.

There they found ten people inside the home as well as the infant, who was not breathing and unresponsive.  The baby was rushed to Dayton Children's Medical Center and soon after pronounced dead.

It is unclear what caused the baby to stop breathing.

Police called homicide detectives the Special Victims Unit to the house to investigate as protocol.

"The ten people inside the house, six juveniles and four adults, were taken to police headquarters for questioning," said Sergeant Michael Godsey, Dayton Police.

According to police, no one has been charged in this incident.

An autopsy will be performed on the infant Monday.  According to police, the coroner will determine the cause of death and if foul play was involved.

Officials are not identifying the infant pending notification of all family members.
