iPhone video captures high heel attack

Miliner's eye was gouged with a high heel shoe

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police hope recently acquired video images of a bizarre attack with a stiletto heel used as a weapon will put the right people in jail.

Dayton detectives said the video, which was shot by a restaurant employee where the attack happened, breathes new life into the case.

At least four women repeatedly attacked the victim, 35 year-old Anthony Miliner, while he sat in the front seat of an SUV at a restaurant drive-thru in June, 2010.

During the three minute long iPhone recording the women are seen punching, yelling, kicking, and spitting at Miliner.

Miliner's eye was also gouged with a high heel shoe. Family members said he's had several surgeries, but the attack caused permanent damage, and he could lose vision in that eye.

Police said the women turned on Miliner after he tried to be a good samaritan and help one of them who was being beaten in the car ahead of him in line.

Police said the attack was not only brutal, but completely unwarranted.

"The word stupid just has to be put out there, because this attack was stupid," said Sgt. Gary White. "The citizens in Dayton deserve better protection, deserve people to come forward, and identify the women involved in the attack."

With such damning evidence, White said he hopes the women will turn themselves in.
