Detectives search vacant lot in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Homicide detectives searched a plot of land on Hoover Avenue at Guenther Road Friday.

They told 2 News they believe evidence related to a cold case might be buried underground in the area.

A ground penetrating radar was used on the scene, and the images were taken to a crime lab to be examined.

Authorities are not releasing any information about the specific cold case the search is related to.
