DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police in Dayton are investigating the city's latest homicide.

Cornelius Maxwell Jr., 40, was shot and killed while sitting in his car at 4718 Blueberry Ave. at about 6:15 Monday morning.

Police said Maxwell was leaving his house to go to work when he was gunned down.

Witnesses said there were as many as 14 shell casings scattered around the car.
