SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WDTN) - Springboro police are searching for a woman who they say stole a donation jar from a Speedway gas station.

Police released surveillance pictures Monday afternoon. Officers say the woman went inside the Speedway at 5 West Central Avenue on September 6 to pay for gas.

She tried to use several credit cards and gift cars that were all denied. She then tried to sell the clerk a gift. The clerk walked away and that is when police say the woman snatched the donation jar meant for the Children's Miracle Network.

Police describe the suspect as 5'6", brown medium length hair with a medium build. She was wearing jeans and alight blue shirt at the time of the theft.

She left in a car driven by another woman. She is described 5'5", short light colored hair and thin. She was wearing a ball cap, black shirt and plaid shorts.
