Man shot twice outside Dayton apartment

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton police investigated a shooting that witnesses told 2 NEWS started as a group of women fighting.

Officials arrived at the apartment complex at 5057 Norris Dr. just after 1 a.m. Friday.

They found two victims on the scene.

One person had been beaten up and suffered a head injury, the other victim had been shot twice; Once in the hip and the shin.

The shooting victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital but was eventually transferred to Miami Valley Hospital.

Police told us the description of the suspect is vague at this point.

Several residents have told 2 NEWS in the past that Eagle Ridge apartments have been prone to violence.
