EATON, Ohio (WDTN) - An Eaton man is expected to plead guilty to raping his girlfriend's daughter. Robert Mathes, 29, and his girlfriend, 32-year-old Elizabeth George are accused of covering up his reported rape of her teenage daughter.

Mathes is facing rape, sexual battery and other charges. George is also facing felony charges.

Eaton Police Chief Chad DePew said Mathes assaulted the girl at a Wadsworth Street house where the family once lived.

Police opened a case against Mathes in May of 2011, but nothing came of it because officers said George convinced her daughter not to testify. But in March 2012 the girl reported the rape to a different family member and the case was reopened.

Mathes is scheduled to appear before Judge Abruzzo in Preble County Court at 1 p.m.
