CELINA, Ohio (WDTN) - Nearly a year has passed since Robert and Colleen Grube were bound up with duct tape and shot to death inside their home outside Fort Recovery, but Sheriff Jeff Grey says he's more confident than before about solving the case.

Grey updated reporters on the year-old case Thursday saying his office has some leads.

"We have some individuals I'm not comfortable calling suspects at this point but we are very curious about them and that is our focus at this point," Grey says.

Family members told 2 NEWS in an earlier interview they are confident in Grey’s efforts and are counting on the department to help bring closure for their family over the deaths of the father and his daughter.

"We just keep hoping and praying," says Elaine Grube, Robert's sister-in-law.

Sheriff Grey says before his confidence level was high in solving the case and now it's very high. He tells 2 NEWS his office continues to get information and that new evidence came to light in just the last few weeks.

"It could take us some time yet, but I believe we're headed down the right path," Grey says.

Detectives have interviewed more than 250 people about the homicides and visited other counties in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.

If you know anything that could help solve this double homicide, call the tip line at 567-890-8477.

A $20,000 reward has been offered by anonymous donors for information leading to an arrest.
