DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A tip led the SOFAST Task Force to a man wanted for raping a child at knife point.

Timothy Slusher was taken into custody at a home along Sandhurst Drive in Dayton Friday morning.

Deputies say he was hiding in an upstairs bedroom and knew police were looking for him.

SOFAST says the house where Slusher was found is known to police for other incidents.

"We got information the resident of that address is known to hide not only criminals of that nature, but other fugitives of justice," said Nathan Lupcia, US Marshal Deputy, SOFAST.

Officials say that resident is not facing charges at this time.

Slusher is being held in the Montgomery County Jail.
