DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Federal Agents raided a medical facility on Linden Avenue early Thursday morning.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced the agents, armed with a federal search warrant, entered a suspected “pill mill” at 2838 Linden Avenue. DeWine said the location was under investigation for more than a year.

"Prescription drug abuse is a very serious problem in Ohio, and we will aggressively investigate any medical facility that shows signs of suspected drug diversion," said DeWine. "Too many Ohioans have died from abusing improperly prescribed pills. We don't want any more families to suffer."

Agents loaded up vehicles with boxes of evidence, including patient records, as they wrapped up their search.

The DEA and U.S. Health and Human Services along with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Attorney for the southern district of Ohio and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s office.

No one was arrested or charged in Thursday’s raid.
