Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) - Balloons, flowers and stuffed animals now mark the place where 42 year old Resa Lee lost her life.
At about 3:15 the morning of April 16th, 2010 she was stabbed to death in the parking lot of the Montgomery County Job Center at 1111 South Edwin C. Moses in Dayton.
A maintenance worker made the gruesome discovery some five hours later... Lee's fully clothed body lying in a pool of blood... her purse still with her.
Investigators are now hoping that these images, captured by the security cameras at the rear of the Job Center, may provide their best and only hope of cracking this case and catching the killer.
They show Lee and an unknown black male walking through the parking lot, just seconds before her death. Neighbor Glenda Jones is hopeful as well.
"Cameras cameras cameras, even when you don't think there's no cameras. So if they think they got away with it, they're going to get caught, I'm serious they're going to get caught."
Det. Cayce Cantrell says, "He's identified as a black male with a white t-shirt and white tennis shoes. Not a whole lot more is known at this time but we are looking for any information about this individual who may have cuts or scars on his hands from the stabbing. She died a terrible death so we're asking for the public's help. If you have any information or can i-d who she was walking with that morning please call Crime Stoppers at 222-stop.
