DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - An elderly woman is robbed by two men posing as Dayton police officers and we have the re-enactment and the sketches that will hopefully crack the case.
Here is this week's exclusive Crime Stoppers report.
At 11:30 the morning of September 27th, two black males posing as Dayton police detectives arrived at the home of an 86 year old woman who lives on the west side of town.
They told the elderly woman to open the door because they had a warrant and flashed fake badges.
The woman let the suspects inside, who pretended to execute the search warrant by going through her belongings. The "search" was interrupted when a neighbor stopped by to check on the woman, but not before the suspects were able to leave with money and a gun they found in the house.
The black males are described as being very well groomed. One was 50-55 years old medium complexion, 5-8, 160 lbs., close cut hair, mustache and wearing a navy blue suit with gold wire rim glasses.
The other is described as 40-45 years old, dark complexion, 6-0, 190 lbs., mustache, short well groomed hair, wearing a black pin striped suit.
Both suspects left in a 2000-2002 blue-gray Buick Lesabre. If you have any information about these suspects or recognize them from the sketches please call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867
Alex Lovett's family says it's a miracle he survived this deadly car crash.
