DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton investigators are still searching for answers following the city's latest homicide and they are ready to pay for your help.

The Montgomery County Coroner identifies the victim as 24-year old James Jeffery, Jr.

He and his brother were inside home in the 1000 block of Shakespeare around 9:00 pm October 6 when two suspects forced their way in and opened fire.

James Jeffrey died at the scene. He was shot while trying to hide in a closet.

The brother was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with a critical gunshot wound to his stomach.

"This is a really sad case and we really need to get these killers off the streets so if anybody has any information please call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867," said Detective Cayce Cantrell, Dayton Police Department.
