SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - An escapee considered armed and dangerous was captured Wednesday night -- and Thursday he made his first appearance in court.
Springfield police said they captured Joseph Lee Knox after a tip led them to a hotel on the city's west side.
Knox walked away from the Logan County on Tuesday while picking corn as part of the trustee program.
Logan County deputies believe he then went on a burglary spree.
Knox faced the Clark County judge on an unrelated theft charge, with charges are pending in other counties as well.
