DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton homicide detectives are asking for your help trying to identify the people involved in a baseball bat attack that happened back in August.

The incident was caught on camera and investigators think someone may be able recognize them.

The video is from the parking lot of the Circle K on East Fifth Street.

At first you see the suspect, standing alone, but, what investigators say you don't see, is a verbal argument starting between two groups of guys.

The fight escalated and the suspect, who was initially alone, was now armed with a baseball bat.

He swings and hits the victim several times, knocking him to the ground unconscious.

Investigators don't know what started the fight, but suspect it was fueled by alcohol.

The victim has since made a full recovery and detectives are determined to find the people responsible for the felonious assault.

His is described as between 5'11" and 6'2, 220-260 pounds, and as of August, had short blondish, brown hair.

Call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867 if you have any information about the crime.
