DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A daring gas station robbery is caught on camera and police are ready to pay for your help catching the robber.

It happened just before 2 a-m on January 17th at the Sunoco station in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue.  Two customers are at the counter.. conducting a routine transaction.. when our suspect suddenly bursts through the front door and immediately pulls a gun.  He orders the startled customers to the ground and points the gun at the cashier, demanding money from the register and cigarettes.  The cashier complies with his request, dumping bills, coins, and finally cigarettes into a bag.  After about a minute, the robber grabs the bag and gun, and runs out the door in an unknown direction.

According to Det. Cayce Cantrell, "The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's.  He was wearing thin panty hose over his face, a black dew rag, black hooded coat, green shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.  If anybody recognizes the suspect or perhaps have heard him bragging about the crime please call Crime Stoppers at 222-7867."
