Dayton (WDTN) - It's now been one year since a Dayton teen was gunned down while sitting on a porch.  But police are still ready to pay for your tip that tracks down his killer.

It happened in the 500 block of Paul Laurence Dunbar in the southern Dayton View neighborhood... just after 3 pm on July 26th, 2011.  18 year old Davontae Raglin was sitting on the porch of a home when someone with a high powered rifle appeared and fired 10 to 15 rounds.. striking him in the face and arm.  He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition... and died the following night.  Given the weapon used, the time of day, and the fact that there's a school across the street... this one could have been even worse.

Sgt. Larry Tolpin says, "The shooter in this particular incident had no consideration for others even if they were specifically trying to do harm to an individual they certainly didn't take anyone else into account."

And Det. Cayce Cantrell says, "We do know an unknown gunman approached from the north on foot and shot him as he was sitting out there.  We're hoping somebody out there has information about this crime and can let us know who the gunman was or the motive.  If you have any information about this please call crime stoppers at 222-7867."

You can also submit your tip online at miami valley crime stoppers dot com.  Or text your tip to "tip 400" followed by your message to "crimes".. or 274-637.

You will earn a cash reward, and never have to tell anyone your name.
