Dayton (WDTN) - It began with this chilling 9-1-1 call in the early morning hours of January 6th, 2010.

Dispatcher "Hello?"
Caller: "Yes."
Dispatcher "What's the problem?"
Caller: "My girl has been shot."
Dispatcher: "Who shot her?"
Caller: "I don't know, can you send somebody please?"
Dispatcher: "I'll get police coming, if you can answer my question sir."

 
Dayton police rushed to the home on Gennessee Avenue and found 35 year old Dewayne Johnson and 27 year old Carin White shot to death in one of the bedrooms.  Both suffered multiple gunshot wounds and a gun was found in the room.
    
Friends and family members of Johnson say he had just been released from jail.. was trying to turn his life around.. and had spoken to them about a girlfriend.
 
"He didn't deserve that.  He did not deserve what happened.. He was trying to get his life back on track."
 
Detective Cayce Cantrell says, "We hope that there are other people out there that may have information regarding this crime and if you do we are pleading with you to please call crime stoppers.  You can call us at 222-7867 or you can text message a tip or get on our website and submit a web tip."
