WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN-TV) - Two Dayton City Commissioners touted new national job numbers in their chambers Friday.

The numbers show that 3.1 million private sector jobs have been created in the last two years.

Commissioners Nan Whaley and Matt Joseph gave much of the credit to President Obama.

"We've had almost two years of job growth because of his leadership," Whaley said.

But Mayor Gary Leitzell said commision chambers is not the place to praise politicians.

"I think it should have been at the democratic party headquarters," he said.
