URS Duck Regatta kicks off

Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) - The 9th Annual URS Rubber Duck Regatta is the release and river race of up to 15,000 bright yellow rubber ducks for a controlled race down the Great Miami River.

Ducks will be "released" south of downtown's Pedestrian Bridge, float down the river and finish at RiverScape's Festival Plaza.

This event takes place on September 15th in conjunction with the Taste of Miami Valley. (One duck "adoption" equals one entry/duck in the race")

Prizes are awarded to the first 6 ducks that "cross the finish line"

The Duck Regatta kicked off on Friday, July 13 at the Kroger Marketplace in Englewood with all honorary admirals present and accounted for.
