Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) - Take Us Home, a documentary film produced and directed by Aileen LeBlanc, will have its Dayton premiere on November 15th at the Dayton Art Institute.

The event will begin with a reception at 7pm and include the screening and a Q&A with filmmakers and stars of the film. Tickets are $5 and can be reserved by clicking HERE

Local filmmakers include LeBlanc, editor Jim Klein, consulting editors Steve Bognar and Julia Reichert, Director of Photography Mike King and composers Michael and Sandy Bashaw.

Two of the film’s stars, Worku and his father Fekadu, will attend the screening and greet the audience.

The film tells the stories of the Ethiopian Jews and their quest for Israel.

Their wait is one of poverty, pain – and hope. But all are not chosen to go.

Although the film touches on some political issues, it is a very personal story, which opens a window on a world that is little known to most Americans.

Sponsors of the event are the Dayton Art Institute, the Jewish Cultural Arts and Book Festival, FilmDayton and WYSO.

Major funding for the film’s production was donated by the Levin Family Foundation.
