NEW LEBANON, OH (WDTN-WBDT) - In the late 1980's New Lebanon, Ohio was a 'divided community'. With failed school levies, public safety levies and a recalled election, residents were trying to bring something back to the village.

Until 1989 New Lebanon hosted the Marigold Festival.

That year a woman named Linda Baker took the initiative to reinvent New Lebanon's festival and give it a western theme.

The festival committee agreed upon the name, New Lebanon's Stagecoach Days Festival.

Linda Baker thought that an event like this would bind the residents together, draw residents from the area to work on a common cause, not to mention, be something good for the community.

Linda Baker served as the president of the Stagecoach Days committee for 5 years, and her husband for 3. Linda was also named New Lebanon's person of the year in 1990 for her contributions to the community.

Located at Don Rusk Memorial Park in New Lebanon, this years event includes rides, games, entertainment and fireworks.

It all kicks off Friday June 10 through Sunday June 12.
