DAYTON, OH (WDTN-WBDT) - This Saturday evening, February 25, 2012 you're invited ringside to witness the first ever Dayton Knockout, an exhibition boxing event at Memorial Hall that benefits some great causes.
The event is being hosted by the AIDS Resource Center Ohio Associate Board in conjunction with Dayton History and Drake’s Downtown Gym, with all proceeds going towards the fight against HIV and AIDS.
This will be the first time a boxing event has been held at Memorial Hall since the 1940’s and that time period is the inspiration for the fight night.
With the ability to seat nearly 2500 people the group is hoping for a sell-out crowd.
Some of Dayton’s best faces are hoping to walk away without a scratch like:
Mike Tenore from the City of Dayton Prosecutors Office; Maha Kashani from Cincinnati Bell; Shannon Potts, City of Dayton Attorney; Alexis Larson from the Dayton Art Institute; Kristen Wicker from Downtown Dayton Partnership; Angie Giere a Community Volunteer; Michelle Richardson owner of A Vogue Idea; Kelly Hemm from Southview Hospital; Drew Trick owner of Lucky’s Tap Room & Eatery; Brian White from Workflow One; and Mike Sullivan a City of Riverside Police Officer, plus more.
