Bellbrook, Ohio (WDTN) - A few years ago Bellbrook lost the long standing tradition “Christmas in the Park” due to lack of funding and volunteers, unfortunately this led to the town not being able to run the large scale event.
In 2011 a group of Bellbrook High School students participating in a group called “Partnerships for Success” who came up with a plan with Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District to revive this well-loved tradition, it was a huge success.
In 2011 approximately 700 people came out to enjoy the festivities and re-live the excitement of “Christmas in the Park”!
This year they expect another great year and have many fun things to do with the entire family.
This year’s events will include; a park lighting ceremony, traditional Christmas music by local groups, a coloring contest, free crafts and hot drinks, a donation drive for local causes, a bake sale raising money for PfS’ Christmas Kindness Project and a visit by the big jolly man himself.
Festivities begin at 5pm.
This year they expect another great year and have many fun things to do with the entire family.
