HUBER HEIGHTS, OHIO - Local family is chosen first to ride on Great Wolf Lodge King's Island new Triple Twist Slide. The lodge's mascot Wiley the Wolf along with General Manager Terrie Zajo surprised the King family of Huber Heights on March 12 at 5 p.m.
They are crowned The First Family which not only designates Jacob and Heather King and their three children – Cirara, Kiana, and Kory – as the official first family to ride down the new Triple Twist during Grand Opening Day on March 26, but it also honors the King Family name on the new slide – and a hotel suite – in addition to providing two complimentary overnight stays in 2010. The King Family will be the first sliders to count toward the Guinness Worlds Record attempt during the Grand Opening festivities.
The First Family Sweepstakes was created in celebration of the exciting opening of the new Triple Twist waterslide – a high speed water adventure, featuring a five-story drop into a huge funnel, followed by jaw-dropping twists and turns amidst vibrant lighting and special effects. The Triple Twist slides, built especially for the Kansas City and Kings Island locations, will be the very first of their kind in the world.
