Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) -
First up: Get ready to scoop up some fun at the 64th annual Ice Cream Social, sponsored by the Washington Township Firefighters Association.

The social will take place again at its new location -- Fire Station 44 at 6690 Centerville Business Parkway, off Clyo Road. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12.

As always, the event features great food and family activities, including an array of games for children.

Also on Sunday: Beavertown Elementary will be hosting its first annual “Cruzin Back to School” car show to benefit the Beavertown PTA and its students.

The car show will be held at the Kettering Municipal Building on Wilmington Pike (across from Ritter’s) from 10am until 4pm.

Other activities for the day will include face painting, a 50/50 raffle, a live DJ, and a dunk-tank.

Admission is free, but if you are planning to enter your car in the judging, registration is $10.
