DAYTON, OH (WDTN-WBDT) - The prototype Adirondack cabin built in 1906 for John Patterson was relocated from Patterson’s Oakwood farm to Carillon Historical Park.

It will become one of the main features of the park’s new $500,000 trail system opening in May.

Designed by world renowned landscape architects the Olmsted brothers, the team also responsible  for New York City's Central Park.

The others in Hills & Dales Park were destroyed over time by neglect, age and vandalism.

The three-sided log structure was used by the family of Patterson, founder of the National Cash Register Co.
