Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) - This summer, visitors who manage to navigate their way to the Boonshoft Museum can learn more about the technology that gets us from “there” to “here” at the latest traveling exhibition at the Museum: GPS Adventures.
Showing now until September 3, GPS Adventures delves into the science and art of navigation through the years, focusing on the satellite systems that create pinpoint accuracy for modern explorers.
GPS devices can also be used in the sport of geocaching, where participants can use handheld devices in a high tech game of exploration.
Whether as individuals or teams, intrepid explorers use GPS coordinates and other clues to search for “treasure” hidden by other game players, using online forums and databases to find new targets.
And as far as 'Crunch' goes, just play the Bucher's Beat story.
