'Art to Buy' helps with gift dilemma

Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) - A spectacular annual event that occurs every holiday season at the Dayton Visual Arts Center at 119 N. Jefferson St. is the ARTtoBUY Holiday Gift Gallery.

It brings together functional and beautiful objects fabricated by some of the best artist and artisans in the Dayton-Miami Valley region.

This year there are 75+ individuals creating all forms of giftable art including exquisite jewelry, ceramics, blown glass including giant speckled glass flowers, scarves and woven and fiber art pieces.

Lasting eight weeks only, through December 29, the Gift Gallery is open 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, on First Friday December 3 until 8 p.m., and until 2 p.m. on November 24 and December 24.

Closed December 25.

A Beer & Peanuts Shopping Party for last-minute gifts and craft brews takes place from 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday, December 20.
