DAYTON, OH (WDTN-WBDT) - It's an All American Evening to benefit The Fisher Houses at WPAFB.
This year’s theme is “ …Go Wild for Our Heroes,” and will be held at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force beginning at 6 pm.
While the evening is for honoring all our heroes, there will be some special guest Wounded Warriors in attendance.
The event, in partnership with the Air Force Association Wright Memorial Chapter and Miami Valley Military Affairs Association, will feature gourmet foods prepared by Wright-Patt's Chef David Glynn and entertainment by Dan Edwards, WDTN morning anchor, with Maj Gen (Ret) Ed Mechenbier serving as Master of Ceremonies and Clark County Sheriff Gene Kelly conducting the live auction.
Both a silent and live auction of items donated by community members and businesses will be held during the evening.
Wright-Patterson’s Fisher Houses assist more than 750 current and retired service members and their families every year, providing an opportunity for military families to stay together for physical and emotional support while undergoing medical treatment.
Last year’s event raised more than $97,000, providing money to offset the day-to-day operating expenses of the houses.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for April 28, and plan on enjoying “ …Go Wild For Our Heroes,” while supporting those who have sacrificed so much for our country.
Tickets are $75.00 each with $35.00 of the cost being tax deductable.
