DAYTON, OH (WDTN-WBDT) - Join Dayton History and the Carillon Park Rail and Steam Society to the 6th Annual Miami Valley Rail Festival Saturday and Sunday, June 25, 26.

Model trains of all kinds will fill almost every building and open area in the park!

Free train rides on board the Carillon Park Railroad - providing train rides to young and old on a 1/8th scale, one mile track railroad with live steam, gasoline and electric locomotives.

More than 16 locomotives from three states will make their way here to puff, gurgle, and roar, with toots and beeps, to transport our visitors.

Displays from the small Z scale that runs in a briefcase, to the larger G scale that runs in a garden, 50-100 feet long.

Interactive Lionel and garden layouts for the kids to operate. Model trains, memorabilia, photos, books, hats, shirts, and all kinds of great railroad merchandise will be available to purchase.

Enjoy picnic fare and ice cream, available for purchase from Culp’s Café, in the picnic loop under the shade of the trees near the Bowling Green Station while the passenger trains roll by.
