DAYTON, OHIO (WDTN) - It's time to 'rock the house' at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery for the annual ShamROCK! party event.
Teens from across the Miami Valley will fill the Boonshoft Museum on Saturday, March 13 from 7:30 - 11:00 p.m. in search of good times and great music, as they rock to local bands, show their skills in the Gaming Cave, test their reflexes in the Quick Draw Laser Tag and suit up for Sumo Wrestling.
The evening will feature several live bands, headlined by local favorite Bonneville, who is touring and released a new CD this winter. Other acts include Good English, the all-girl band form Oakwood, and The Traceless, from Vandalia.
Created in 2006 as a way to engage a diverse group of students from different schools in planning safe, fun activities at the Boonshoft, ShamROCK has become an eagerly anticipated annual event, now attracting kids from four counties and nearly 100 different schools.
Admission to ShamROCK ‘10 is $10 per person and includes all activities; ice cream and an assortment of smoothies, fraps and coffee from Cold Stone Creamery, as well as pizza and merchandise may be purchased at an additional cost.
The event takes place from 7:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m. inside the Boonshoft Museum, located at 2600 DeWeese Parkway, Dayton 45414. Tickets will be available at the door, but can be purchased in advance at the Museum’s admission desk or online at www.BoonshoftMuseum.org or call 937-275-7431, ext. 120.
