$4 million dollar historic expansion

Carillon Park to tell more of Dayton's History

Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) -

Dayton History is proud to announce a $4 million dollar expansion including four major new additions to the Carillon Historical Park campus.

 

Carillon Brewing Company : In December of 2013, the Park plans to open a full scale, working 19th century brewery.

 

The Great Dayton Flood of 1913 Exhibit Building: Next year marks the centennial of the worst natural disaster in Dayton's history.

 

Dayton Triangles Locker Room: The Dayton Triangles, on October 3, 1920, played the first game of what would become the National Football League at Triangle Park in Dayton, Ohio.

 

The Triangles' Locker Room was relocated to Carillon Park this past Friday.

 

William Preston Mayfield Photograph Collection: Dayton History is pleased to announce the acquisition of the William Preston Mayfield and Marvin Christian Photograph Collections.

 

The seventy-thousand images, featuring both well known landmarks and aerial views of the Greater Dayton Region and its residents, will soon be available on-line for researchers and across the region within future exhibits.
