WEST CARROLTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A person made a gruesome discovery Tuesday night while walking near the banks of The Great Miami River.

The walker found a man's body near Farmersville West Carrollton and Hydraulic Roads.

At this point, police don't suspect foul play.

Chief Richard Barnhart of The West Carrollton Police Department said, "Probably a homeless gentleman. We've got the coroner's investigator here now, and they'll examine the body and make a determination tomorrow as to what the cause of death should be."

Police say the man was in his 50's, and although they are not revealing it now, they believe they know his name.

Investigators say they will try to contact his family before releasing it.
