ST. MARYS, Ohio (WDTN) - Authorities found the body of a 59-year-old Mercer County man in Grand Lake St. Marys around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. James Price, of Montezuma, disappeared just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
"I mean it's just so sad to hear. This is such a peaceful place, so it's horrible to think what might have happened," St. Marys resident Melissa Berlean said.
His boat was washed ashore with no one on board near Riley Bay. His body was found close by.
He was not wearing a life jacket.
Officials with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources say cadaver dogs, watercraft officers and park officers were key in the search.
