DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - It's a dangerously cold start to the first day of February.

It's a dangerously cold start to the first day of February.

High temperatures today will only reach the mid-teens, with the wind chill falling well below zero.

At 7 a.m. there were more than 80 schools and businesses reporting opening delays, or closing for the day.

Last night's snowfall is still covering the roads, and the winds are creating some drifting.

In Greene County, an overturned tractor-trailer is blocking SR 72 north of Federal Road in Cedarville.

The weather was to blame for a deadly wreck in Preble County Thursday night. It happened on US 40 in New Paris near National Trail schools around 6 p.m. Troopers said the driver started to slide, overcorrected and lost control, flipping the SUV. Gary Miller, 53, was killed. Denise Miller was rushed to Reid Hospital in Richmond. Her condition has not been released.

In other parts of the Miami Valley last night, an accident shut down part of the northbound lanes of I-75 in Miami Township near Austin Pike, blocking traffic until 10:00.

The rest of Friday is expected to be partly to mostly sunny, but with increasing clouds tonight.

Saturday will see warmer temperatures with a high near 30.

Sunday will bring the next chance for snow.
