Armed robber hits hotel overnight

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A hotel robbery has Dayton police searching for a suspect near the University of Dayton campus early Tuesday morning.
The robbery took place at the Dayton Marriott on South Patterson Boulevard around midnight. Officers told 2 News the man displayed a handgun and took off with an unknown amount of cash.
The hotel has a security guard and security cameras in place. However, police said the security guard was elsewhere at the time of the robbery.
