(WDTN) - Two stolen dirt bikes are headed back to their rightful owner.

Police credit a bit of amateur detective work with finding this pair of bikes stolen from a Englewood home a few weeks ago.

The woman who lives there was storing them for her brother when they went missing. Thanks to the internet he cracked the case all the way from New Hampshire.

Marie Smith, the victim's sister says, "He thought, you know, if it was me, I would put it on Craigslist. So he looked at Craigslist and eBay, that kind of thing, and found something that just looked weird."

He asked the poster for a picture and an address and handed the evidence to police. Charges are still pending.
