XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) - A Greene County man was in court Tuesday for looking at child porn on a library computer.
Benjamin Zawada plead guilty to two felony charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material. Zawada was looking at the images in plain sight in the busy Xenia branch of the Greene County Library. And he might have got away with it, if he had not forgotten to log off the computer.
The person who sat down at the computer after Zawada happened to be a retired police officer who then alerted authorities.
Library officials said they were able to identify the suspect because he accessed the computer using his library card. There are filters for sexual sites on the internet, but library officials say unfortunately they can't block what people access through their e-mail.
Zawada has yet to be sentenced, but as part of the plea agreement, he would avoid jail time, but be classified as a sex offender.
