DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton Police questioned a man once suspected to be an accomplice in a rape and robbery.
Detectives say 27-year-old Robert Murphy turned himself in Thursday night, and was released after about four hours of questioning.
Police say Murphy says he has an alibi.
It was believed that Murphy asked his ex-girlfriend for a ride early Thursday morning.
When she arrived at a home on East Bruce Avenue, she was attacked by another man.
Police say 17-year-old Carlos Harris held her at gunpoint and raped her.
Authorities thought it may have been a set up.
Sergeant Tom Flanders of The Dayton Police Department said, "They do know each other and we have obtained a substantial amount of evidence that these two are connected."
Detectives have recovered the woman's SUV, which was stolen.
Police are still on the hunt for Harris.
If you know his whereabouts call Crime Stoppers at 222-STOP.
