DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A suspect police said broke into 64 houses in Dayton has been arrested.

Police said Christopher Hines, 24, came to their attention after local scrap yards got suspicious.

Over time, they said the Dayton man brought in dozens of aluminum radiators from air conditioning units.

Since Hines does not own a home or work for a heating and air company, the scrap yards contacted police.

Detective Jamie Bullens said Hines would get between $10 to $15 at a scrap yard for the air conditioning parts.

It would cost a homeowner up to $6,000 to replace and repair the damage.
