EATON, Ohio (WDTN) - Traffic came to a standstill in Eaton early Wednesday morning along U.S. 127 after a pedestrian was struck by a train.
The train's conductor told police he knew he had hit something on the track but it wasn't until he climbed off the train that he realized it was a person. The accident happened on U.S. 127 at Monford Street.
Police have not identified the victim, instead saying the man in his 50's lived nearby. He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. His condition was not made available to 2 News.
Careflight was initially called to the scene but was unable to fly due to the rainy and foggy conditions in Preble County.
The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
